Lisa Snowdon is one of those people who can make girls green with envy; she is beautiful, has ridiculously long legs to tempt even Rod Stewart, is a successful Radio DJ and presenter, AND has dated George Clooney (not to mention other rumoured A-list celeb Gods!) But now we have another thing to add to the list; these effortlessly stunning Black Halo dresses! And after she came to see us in the Self Service showrooms, we can also confirm just how fun and super lovely she is! Damn it!
Lisa wore the gorgeous ‘Jackie O’ Black Halo mini dress above to the world premiere of Avatar in London last week, and dazzled on the red blue carpet in this subtlety sexy fitted mini dress, with red accessories and lips to make her pop on the unusual blue carpet (not to mention that drool-worthy Mulberry clutch bag)! Avatar is out in cinemas today, and although the James Cameron blue themed blockbuster has received mixed reviews, we give the lovely Lisa 2 thumbs up!
Lisa loves Black Halo so much, she wore the longer length ‘Jackie O’ dress in red for the Capital Radio ‘Help A Child’ Capital Rocks event last week, and black and red must be her favourite trend for the Christmas festive party season! I really love the red look on Lisa and she has the figure, height and personality to carry off this 50s pin-up style dress, proving she can give Hollywood starlets a run for their money! What inspires LNA? What are the ideas behind the designs? Who wears the clothes? Who is LNA? If you’ve ever asked your self any of these questions, then you need to do 2 things! Firstly, watch the behind the scenes footage of their current look book with The Delta Fiasco modelling LNA in all it’s rock’n'roll glory! The Delta Fiasco are a Brit band (they’re song is also featured in the video!) and they’re flying the flag for Brit laid back cool rock’n'roll (and they’re pretty easy on the eye as well!).
The second thing you need to do if you’re loopy for LNA is to check out their blog, The Diaries, which list absolutely everything that inspires them to make basic tees and leggings that you can rock out in and add some edge to your basics. Cheryl Cole has had a good week! First, Chezzer and Joe beat off the competition to win X Factor 2009 on Sunday night (and from the looks of the vote stats that were released this week, that wasn’t hard! Joe won hands down!) and then Cheryl won the style stakes, when she was spotted not once, but TWICE, wearing her heart on her…Wildfox Tee!
The Wildfox tee above is surely a tongue-in-cheek stab at the growing interest in the Cole’s marriage, and whether her wearing (or more importantly NOT wearing) her wedding ring means they’re set to split. I think this tee (and her huge smile!) say she is one happy chicka, and very much in L.O.V.E. with hubby Ashley! And here she is again, this time walking the X-factor halls wearing an oh-so-comfy Wildfox jumper after Saturday’s show (well she must have needed to put on something extra comfy after that skin-tight dress!) I couldn’t find the exact jumper, but try this Malibu Girl jumper from asos on for size!
So Cheryl’s got her red carpet style nailed, and now she’s found the best way to be super-duper comfy AND stylish when she’s not under the X-factor spotlight – Wildfox! Damn, the secrets out!
We’ve just returned from a very busy Clothes Show in Birmingham and we had such a good time we had to share the highlights with you!!! It was the Clothes Show’s 21st this year, and boy did they celebrate! With celebrity presenters like George Lamb (yummy – my favourite silver fox), Fearne Cotton (Jo Whiley impersonator and stylista), Gok Wan (everyone’s favourite fairy gok mother) and Dave Berry (pint sized cheeky chappy DJ), and lots of appearances from what seemed like the ENTIRE cast of Hollyoaks and hot new boyband VICE (above), the whole event was awash with celebs, models and downright trendy shoppers!
These very stylish young ladies (above, left to right: Raquel Brahan, Samio Olowu and Rita Brahan) were papped by OSOYOU at Clothes Show Live, and we think they look fab! We also think our Junk Food workers look pretty stylish too, wearing Junk Food tees and hoodies of course (below)
Self Service were there with Junk Food and we snapped loads of lovely Junk Food fans as they picked up some bargains (and what a gorgeous lot you are!) With every purchase they were also given the super cute Junk Food shopper, to put even more purchases in! Leave a comment if you see yourself in one of our pictures!

The British Fashion Awards took place last night into the Royal Courts of Justice (you will be tried, hung, drawn and quartered for all fashion crimes) in London last night. Long, lean and black was the trend of the evening, with Kate Moss, Victoria Beckham, Daisy Lowe, Eva Herzigova, Pixie Geldof and Erin O’Connor all wearing dramatic, long black dresses.

The young model of the year award competition was tough, with some of my favourite emerging beauties nominated or on the red carpet; Georgia Jagger, Dasiy Lowe and Amber Le Bon. All the ‘Les bébés rockers’; translation: spoilt brat rocker offspring, turned out to show off their superior rock and model genes. The award went to the Bardot-esque beauty Georgia Jagger, daughter or Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall.

There was also plenty of colour and fun styling on the red carpet for the BFAs thanks to Vivienne Westwood, Karen Elson, Shingy from The Noisettes and Tolula Adeyemi. Karen Elson looks smoking hot in red velvet and Hollywood glamour soft waves, channelling her inner Jessica Rabbit, Dame Vivienne Westwood showed some leg and a climate change message in the way only she can, and I love love love Shingy’s and Tallulah’s matching shade of cobalt blue! Top marks ladies!
