Alice In Wonderland Exhibition at LA’s Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising

If you’re planning a trip State side this summer, I don’t think I can recommend the Alice in Wonderland exhibition at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (lets stick to FIDM, it’s much catchier!) in LA highly enough!

Created to showcase the beautiful costumes from the Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland Disney film, which were all designed by costume designer extraordinaire, Colleen Atwood, as well as Alice-inspired designs from Tom Binns, Avril Lavigne and Sue Wong, the exhibition portrays the beautiful style and feel of the film.

The opening night of the exhibition also saw a catwalk show from FIDM alumni based on the Alice in Wonderland film, and there were some spectacular designs that represented a blend of Tim Burton’s Gothic-fairytale vibe mixed with haute couture.

The free exhibition is open from May 27, 2010 – September 30, 2010

If you aren’t swinging by LA anytime soon, why not get your own Alice in Wonderland exclusive, with Tom Binns’ collection of jewellery designed for Disney Couture.
