Oh beautiful February! (Yes, it’s cold, windy and rainy but it’s also the month that brings us Valentine’s and Fashion Week!)
Our fave bloggers celebrated Fashion Week and Valentine’s month wearing the most beautiful pieces from the Self Service brands. Three things to consider from this February’s edit are hair, hats and hues.
Hair. We love to wear our hair in a messy ballerina topknot like Lisa from See Want Shop in the Hello Goodbye Jacket from Finders Keepers’ Dreamstate Collection but this month bloggers and celebs are letting their hair down. Resist the urge to put your hair back. Wear it long, wavy and natural like Vanessa Hudgens in the brand new Wildfox La Femme 2 sunnies and Kavita from She Wears Fashion in the Wildfox Up All Night Cami Set or side part your bob like Emma Roberts who is wearing Wildfox Denim Gia in Captivate or Chriselle Lim in two different pastel coloured Finders Keepers outfits. At the Wildfox Fall Winter 2014 New York Fashion Week show, cute little white flowers were put in models’ long hair for a look that appears as if they had just awaken from a field of blossoms.
Hats. The best cure for bad hair days, hats can add an edgy layer to your style. Dress down with a baseball cap like Cailin Russo in The Last Call Skirt by Finders Keepers or throw in a good portion of cool with a fedora like UmYeahThanks who wore the Finders Keepers Steal The Light Dress or Olivia Lopez at New York Fashion Week in the Genetic Denim Shya in brown leather. For a seductively elegant look, do as Jasmin from Friend in Fashion who teamed a floppy hat with her Finders Keepers Stranger In Paradise Dress.
Hues. Monochromes, pastels and tropical hues. Annabelle Fleur from Viva Luxury rocked an all black combo at New York Fashion Week that included the Finders Keepers Time Traveller Skirt from the Upside Collection, while fashion editor-in-chief Eva Chen went in all white with sparkly hologram high top trainers and theb Genetic Denim Shya in Winterwhite. Jenny from Neon Blush added layers of black and white to her monochrome daisy print Seeing Stars Dress by Finders Keepers. Bloggers Chriselle and Julia Shutenko looked adorable in pastels and Sharnee Gates and UmYeahThanks went for the vibrant tropical hues that we saw in the lilium print of the Finders Keepers’ The Graduate collection.
