LFW Street Style Roundup

London Fashion Week Spring Summer 2014 photographer

It’s people watching from the comfort of your desk, only these people are way more stylish than the average passer-by.

Lately, street style has been stealing the show from the catwalk and everyone is a part of it. Quite literally: there are more people reporting and more people participating than ever. Part of the attraction is that the snapped subject could be anyone.

Any fashion week attendant, that is. No need to be within the industry, no need for their own blog, don’t even need a fash show invite. Nope, as long as they put themselves into an extraordinary outfit, something that’s a bit different or only includes a little detail that captures the photographer’s eye. Once uploaded to the web, multiplied, going viral, the wearer can be a style star for a season. Street style is the reality TV of fashion. Throw in some style royalty and some celebrities too, et voilà!

During Fashion Week for SS14, the trends on the streets of London included a lot of tartan, denim, bomber jackets, sequins, shades of blue, red and mustard, caps and clutches (although not necessarily all in one outfit).

Let’s indulge in the guilty pleasure and look through some street looks, London Fashion Week style…
