Mickey and Minnie are the absolute timeless style icons. Remember when Alber Elbaz, head designer at Lanvin, created an haute couture dress exclusively for Fashionista Minnie Mouse? Now the cartoon couple’s distinctive features – their ears – have inspired London label SICK’s latest creation.
With a brand name that has two (or more) meanings which could not be more contrary, SICK binds opposites and thus leaves room for its followers to interpret their fashion in whichever way desirable. SICK is not just a play on words but something you can make your own. The message you send out will always be bold and sassy.
This notion is epitomised in the Mickey cap where, with its mirrored SICK logo, the double meaning of the word stares right back at you. Ironic or what?
A sick addition to any outfit, any SICK hat adds an instant statement to an otherwise less loud ensemble. Get your SICK fix at ASOS. Are you SICK enough to wear it?
SICK was born out of the East London shop by the same name. Read the Self Service interview with its creator Stephane Raynor here.
