Timeless in Monochrome: LNA Spring 1 – 2013

LNA Spring 1 S 42

The label that sets out to ‘create perfect basics with some edge’, is just about to release its first Spring 2013 drop to UK retailers ASOS, Harvey Nichols and Harrods.

Designers and best buds Lauren Alexander and April Leight set up LNA in 2007. What started off as an LA T-shirt label, had us all obsessed over zipped leggings, while dressing models off duty, from Kate Moss to Ruby Aldridge and Miranda Kerr.

LNA Spring 2013 still conforms to the minimalist, clean line roots, yet this time the silhouettes are endowed with a twist. There are cut outs and off kilter drapery, as well as gold zips that sometimes adorn and at other times serve a function. This Spring collection is an effortless and enduring collection that encapsulates an array of tees and long sleeves. The slouchy knit bottoms come with zip pockets, so cool they can pass as trousers and, for the lookbook, have been teamed with suede ankle boots. There’s even a black leather skirt, so cleanly designed that its style will last as long as the leather itself.

The colour palette accommodates to the minimalist style that LNA promotes. While most of the line is monochromatic, we see pops of colour from a vibrant coral red, as well as beautiful flecked ink blue and white knits. LNA Spring 2013 are wardrobe staples that will go beyond the current Spring 2013 season.
