Win tickets to the POP STORES at WHITELEYS launch!

Fancy yourself as a fashion writer or photographer? Whether you’re a seasoned writer, a budding fashion blogger or just fancy putting your journalistic skills to use by covering a fash-tastic launch party, then have we got a competition for you!!!

POP STORES at WHITELEYS is a brand new shopping concept where an entire floor of  WHITELEYS in Bayswater will be turned into a fabulous selection of pop-up stores! There are 4 stores opening in total, Junk Food Clothing, The POP Store, The Bower of Bliss Store and FrostFrench and it will be open to the public from the 26th March, but you, dear reader, can go to the star-studded, celeb-tastic, all-singing, all-dancing launch party on Thursday 25th March (ta da!)!

The guestlist is strictly cooler-than-thou London fashionistas (one of the labels is FrostFrench, so expect lots of Sadie’s crew!) and will have guest DJs and live performances from Alice Dellal’s new band Thrush Metal (a fash-tastic style icon herself).

We’ve got lots of our brands in the different POP Up fashion stores, from Wildfox in The POP Store to Disney Couture and Tom Binns in the jewellery haven, The Bower of Bliss, and the good news is that they’ll be there until Christmas! So plenty of time to shop your heart out at the uber trendy and glam POP Stores.

But back to our competition, we’re giving away a pair of tickets to this money-can’t-buy, invite only launch party AND the chance to cover the event with a guest post on our blog! So if you think you’ve got what it takes to cover this event and would love to be sipping champers with London’s top fashionistas and celebs, then write a comment below with a link to your blog or flickr and why you think you deserve to go (and make it POP!)

Good Luck!

  1. I deserve to go because no one else has commented. And because I’m still tortured by the fact my Mum used to collect me from the school gates with our goat. Seriously.

Ok, back to business, I’m a young fledgling fashion journalist who’s throwing herself into the fash-game faster than you can say Fendi, and I’m desperate to get involved in any way possible. I realise desperation isn’t a particularly attractive asset, but sod it, why pretend I’m not?

Oh, I’m Fashion News Editor at My Fashion life, too, so I’ve got oodles of experience, but damn it I want to go to this.

So to conclude, I need to go.

Thanks, big love and all that jazz,

    Emily. X

  2. I can’t believe Emily’s mum picked her up from school with a goat! My mum picked me up with two cream standard poodles – not as embarassing, but thankfully a little more fashion!

I’d like to throw my hat in the ring: i’ve been blogging for 3 years (www.fabfrocks.blogspot.com) but am still trying to break into full time fashion journalism and this would be a great opportunity.

Plus i’m a secret celebrity stalker (but don’t tell anybody!) so it would be lovely to see all the famous faces as well as the fabulous fashions!

  3. Well – I have absolutely nothing to offer in terms of my mum picking me up from school with various farm or domestic animals so I’m afraid I can’t compete in that area.

In regards to why I would absolutely love this opportunity though, is that I’ve been writing and generally submersing myself into the fashion world for over 3 years now and covering an event such as this would really test my ability and hopefully give me the chance to shine and show that I can do this for real in my own right. I also genuinely love the brands that are involved in the event and unfortunately I don’t get to drink champagne as often as I’d like (though I promise not to get drunk if I did get to go) so this would be a lovely opportunity to do that too.

I am also a huge music fan and quite a nifty singer so if Alice Dellal has to pull out for any reason, I can also step up to the mic and blast out a tune or two in her place!

  4. Thanks for entering ladies – we are thrilled (and flattered) that you’d all love to cover the event for us! So much so we couldn’t pick just one, so we put names in a hat and EMILY will be our guest blogger! Congrats! But as we loved Tor and Laura’s entrance so much, we are giving each of you a pair of tickets as well! SSx

Thank you for your lovely comment
