Well unless you’ve been living under a rock for a few months, you should recognise London’s pop pixie as Paloma Faith. Paloma has been on your TV, in magazines, on the silver screen and on your radios for months now, and is a very busy lady! She describes herself as ‘a singer/actress/performer’ and she’s not kidding!
After huge success with debut single ‘Stone Cold Sober’, new song ‘New York’ released last month and her debut album ‘Do You Want The Truth Or Something Beautiful’, Paloma is really making her mark on the UK charts (both songs charted in the top 20). She’s also been busy touring, and is becoming a style icon with her dramatic 50s vintage pin-up style and trademark red hair/red lips combo. Her designer of choice when she’s on stage is Manish Arora (orange dress seen above and below).
Paloma has been treading the red carpet recently, and has been spotted sererval times in Manish Arora dresses; his designs reflect her dramatic burlesque/magicians assistant/showgirl style. She wore the patterned yellow and brown vintage inspired dress (below, left) to a Breast Cancer Care event and wore a gorgeous lace effect black dress (below, right) to the premier of the new Terry Gilliam film “The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus”, in which she has a cameo role where she dances with the devil!
